When: August 4, 6:00 PM–8:00 PM
Where: Whole Foods CityLine 1411 E Renner Rd, Richardson, TX 75082
This month in Far North Dallas, we’ll pick up from our previous conversation about zoning: What is missing middle housing? Assuming reform allows it by right, how do I build a backyard cottage (ADU)? How do I convert my garage into an apartment (ADU)? How do I convert my single-family house into a duplex, triplex, or quadplex? How much do each of these options cost? How do I get started?
The purpose of this session’s discussion is not to detail every step of building middle housing from start-to-finish; the purpose is to show what’s realistically possible if zoning reform legalizes incremental development across Dallas, especially in Far North Dallas with its abundance of single-family homes.
