On Wednesday, more than three dozen advocates spoke in support of the amendment at City Hall and online. Some of the groups represented include Dallas Housing Coalition, Dallas Neighbors for Housing, Better Block, Dallas Bicycle Coalition, Sunrise Movement Dallas, Dallas Area Transit Alliance (DATA), Dallas Urbanists STLC, DFW Urbanistas, Parking Reform Network, and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART).

Geographic Exceptions
Industrial Uses — Current parking minimums apply when contiguous with single-family uses in R zoning. No minimums elsewhere.
Commercial Service & Business — 1 parking space per 500 square feet apply when contiguous with single-family uses in R zoning. No minimums elsewhere.
Lower Greenville (MD-1 Overlay) — Properties subject to the MD-1 Modified Delta Overlay will keep parking minimums for currently allowed uses as per the current CR zoning.
