DART Cuts Public Meetings Week 1: Irving, Glenn Heights, Richardson, and Addison, you’re up!
The public’s first chance to speak out against DART cuts is next week
Irving, Glenn Heights, Richardson, and Addison, your meetings for the 5% GMP service cuts are the week of June 9! This is your chance to talk with DART staff and let them know how these cuts will impact you. Bring personal stories!
The meetings are:
The discontinued routes in these cities are:
Route 225, Nursery, through Irving, discontinued
Route 255, Story, through Irving, discontinued
Red, Orange, and Silver Lines, significantly reduced frequencies
Most other busses, reduced frequencies
Do these cuts impact you? Come out and let DART staff know how it will harm you! Are these taking the cities and region in the wrong direction? Let DART staff know that too, and make sure city officials hear you as you do so. They need all the ammo they can get to take back to the board and tell the board that these cuts are bad for the riders, bad for the cities, bad for the region, and bad for DART!
Meetings will be running throughout June. If your city isn’t on the list for this week or you can’t attend the meeting for your city, the rest of the meetings can be found here. You’re certainly free to attend other cities’ meetings and make your voice heard!
